Camp life: Camp is all about group living: campers get up at the same time, eat at the same time, do the same activities, and go to bed at the same time! At Mullartown, campers share a dorm with 8-10 other campers; at some camps there will also be 2 leaders in the dorm. Bathroom facilities are shared with a number of other dorms. Mullartown is a big site, and although there is a lift to the first floor in the main building, there is no lift to the barn which is usually where the meetings are held. Camp involves a lot of energetic, and sometimes noisy, physical activities. Our leaders encourage all campers to take part to the best of their ability in all activities.
We welcome applications from children and young people with additional needs, and we are able to accommodate many of these; however, it may not be possible to accommodate children who require one-to-one assistance, or those with more complex medical or physical needs.
Personal Care: Campers are responsible for all their own personal care – showering, changing their clothes, and looking after their own things.
Staffing: Each camp is staffed by a different team of volunteers; around 25 volunteers for a camp of 60-75 campers.
Mobile phones: Most of our camps operate a “no phone policy”. If a parent/guardian needs to contact their son/daughter, or the Programme Director, meal times are the best time to do this by phoning Mullartown on 07765069444.
