Gemma says: “I love Mullartown, always have and hopefully always will! From the age of 7 I started going to camps at Mullartown, and when I was 13 I became a born again Christian here. Mullartown has always been a real place of peace in my life, a place I’ve always felt accepted, valued, a place of growth in my Christian faith, a place where my leadership has been developed and a place full of fun and craic! My heart is to see other kids and young people have the same experience here at Mullartown and that our wee country (Northern Ireland) may be transformed by the Word of God as people learn to walk with Him daily, and that the work here at Mullartown may be part of that process!”
Jason says: “My great uncle Jack Hill was part of the team who got Mullartown started and Annalong Presbyterian, the church we are members of, has always had a connection with Mullartown. I attended a puppet workshop in 2003 at Mullartown and served on two teams helping Carl and Ruth Sommerville in Portugal. Gemma asked me if I’d consider helping at Mullartown – I made the excuse that I was busy most summers with wedding work. She quickly replied, “We have other times you can help!” and this led to me helping at New Year reunions. In Summer 2016 I got involved with Week 4 Kids Camp and since then I have led Family Camp each summer. Gemma’s love of Mullartown has rubbed off on me and I want to see it serving the body of Christ by providing an environment for campers to draw near to and experience God.”
